About Us

The Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and Training Centre (GSRTC) is a pioneering initiative of Samaritan Trust (Reg. No. 99/IV/17), established in 2017 as the social and charitable wing of the CST Fathers of the St. Thomas Province, Kozhikode. Located in Thalavil, Kannur, Kerala, GSRTC provides fully subsidized rehabilitation, skill training, and employment support for paraplegics, accident survivors, and persons with disabilities.

Inspired by the values “Be little and serve the little,” “Do not grow weary in doing good,” and “Go and do likewise,” the Centre combines compassionate care with professional rehabilitation services. Through holistic programs and barrier-free facilities, GSRTC strives to restore dignity, independence, and hope, enabling individuals to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with confidence.

Milestones and Volunteerism

In 2018, the Trust launched its Comprehensive Palliative Care Program, supporting over 900 families with home visits, medical care, mobility aids, and emotional support.

Our mission is carried forward by OPPAM (Organization for Pain and Palliative Assistance and Management), an advisory body and dedicated volunteer force of 175 trained individuals from diverse social and religious backgrounds. Free from caste, political, or religious divisions, OPPAM members form the lifeblood of our outreach services.

At Samaritan Trust, we believe that every life matters. Guided by faith, driven by empathy, and supported by generous partners and selfless volunteers, we strive to build a world of compassion, inclusion, and justice - locally and globally.
