GSRTC (Good Samaritan Rehabilitation and Training Centre) is a pioneering initiative of Samaritan Trust (Registered No. 99/IV/17), founded in 2017 under the guidance of St. Thomas Province, CST Fathers. Located in Thalavil, Kannur, Kerala, we provide fully subsidized rehabilitation, skill training, and employment support to paraplegics, accident survivors, and persons with disabilities. Inspired by the principle "Be little and serve the little," we combine compassionate care with professional expertise to restore dignity, independence, and hope. Through holistic programs and barrier-free facilities, we empower individuals to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with confidence.
The Little Flower Congregation (CST Fathers)was founded in 1931 by Fr. Basilius Panat, guided by the “Little Way” of St. Thérèse of Lisieux—to do small acts with great love. Rooted in this spirituality, the CST Fathers dedicate themselves to evangelization through service: in education, healthcare, family counselling, social inclusion, and rural upliftment.
The St. Thomas Province, headquartered in Kozhikode, spearheads several humanitarian and social missions across Kerala, southern Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and various parts of Northeast India. The mission also extends beyond Indian borders to Africa, Papua New Guinea, and different parts of Europe, embracing global communities in need. In its commitment to social justice, the Province established Samaritan Trust as its official charitable arm.
A key initiative under this wing is the Good Samaritan Rehabilitation & Training Centre (GSRTC), a specialized centre offering free rehabilitation and vocational training for the differently-abled, including paraplegic and accident survivors.
Samaritan Trust is a registered, non-profit charitable organization (Reg. No. 99/IV/17), founded in 2017 and headquartered at Nellikunnu, Kannur. It functions as the social and charitable arm of the St. Thomas Province of the CST Fathers, Kozhikode, with a mission rooted in mercy and justice.
The vision and values of Samaritan Trust are deeply inspired by the humanitarian spirit of the Little Flower Congregation (CST Fathers). Their motto, “Be little, serve the little,” reflects a way of life rooted in humility, compassion, and preferential service to the poor.
While Samaritan Trust operates within a secular and inclusive framework, it remains anchored in the founding ethos of the CST Fathers—upholding service, compassion, and justice as guiding principles in all our work. https://cstfathersstthomasprovince.in/
