Impact

At the Good Samaritan Rehabilitation & Training Centre (GSRTC), every life restored is a testament to hope, dignity, and resilience.

Since our humble beginnings in 2024, GSRTC has become a beacon of healing and empowerment for those living with spinal cord injuries, physical disabilities, and the trauma of road and stroke-related accidents - especially among the poor and underserved.

Lives We’ve Touched

Gokul’s Journey of Resilience

A 21-year-old B.Com graduate, Gokul lost his mobility and voice after a devastating accident in 2021. When he arrived at GSRTC in 2024, he was confined to a wheelchair, unable to speak. Within six months, through intense physiotherapy, speech therapy, and the love of a nurturing community, Gokul stood again—both physically and emotionally.

“GSRTC gave me back my voice and hope.”

The Story of Sreedharan N. – From Shadows to Sunrise

Once a proud tailor, Sreedharan was left paralyzed and abandoned by family after a tragic fall. Referred by the Social Department, he came to GSRTC in 2024 broken in body and spirit. In just 90 days, bedsores healed, hand movement returned, and depression gave way to faith.

“When even my relatives gave up, GSRTC fought for me. These three months gave me back my will to live.”

Mariyadas’s Road to Recovery – From Streets to Sanctuary

Abandoned as a child and living on the streets of Kannur for nearly 30 years, Mariyadas was rescued and referred to GSRTC in 2024 by social worker Mr. Suneesh. With addiction counselling and physiotherapy, he began walking again—and believing in life.

“Mr. Suneesh’s food kept me alive, but GSRTC taught me to live again.”

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

Mahatma Gandhi

“Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.”

Akshay Dubey

GSRTC is not just a centre - it’s a movement to redefine what recovery, inclusion, and dignity look like in today’s world.
